Bruce Eric Kaplan

Odd factoid. Bruce Kaplan, executive producer of Six Feet Under, wrote the "Pig Suggestion Box" Seinfeld episode poking fun at the New Yorkers inscrutable cartoons - which BEK himself has been contributing cartoons to frequently over the last decade or so.

He also has a new book coming out "Everything is going to be O.K."

These tableuas looks like they were recovered from the lower cubby-hole of a grade six art room. I can clearly remember kneeling over the light-bleached milky rolls with a fat pack of felt pens. Dianes still doing it. And she's also twisted and funnny.

Brecht Vandenbroucke

When I saw Brecht's work it instantly reminded me of some iconic New Yorker cover pieces. So I googled 'brecht vandenbroucke new yorker' to see for myself if he's responsible for any of this funniness. The first hit I got was Juxtapoz Magazine's telling of the same comparison/resemblance. This post seems very contrived now.
